Accounts Payable Specialist   Full-Time

Position Summary:

The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for processing all financial transactions related to accounts payable, ensuring accurate financial records, and maintaining timely payment of company bills and expenses. The ideal candidate should have a strong attention to detail, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to work effectively within a team.

Key Responsibilities:

•    Process and verify invoices, ensuring accuracy of amounts, coding, and approval before payment.
•    Prepare and execute timely payments, ensuring compliance with company payment terms.
•    Track payment schedules, including recurring bills and one-time payments.
•    Provide support during audits, ensuring documentation and records are easily accessible.
•    Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all accounts are accurate and up to date.
•    Ensure that all accounts payable records and documents are maintained in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.


Required Qualifications:

Proven experience in Accounts Payable, or similar roles.
Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar).
Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and other office software.

The ability to think logically and critically to ensure accurate financial entries.
Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required; an associate degree or certification in accounting/bookkeeping is preferred.
Time management skills to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities.

Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications.  Salary range:  Hourly range $30.00 - $35.00 an hour
